In what units is miRNA measured in the OncuraKit test?
The primary reporting unit is the Healthy Level (HL) multiple — a dimensionless ratio expressing the patient's miRNA expression as a multiple of the reference healthy population average. For example, a result of 1.83× HL means the patient's miRNA expression is 83% above the healthy reference level. Internally, the Yenos laboratory quantifies miRNA in femtomolar (fM) concentrations per unit of total RNA — these absolute values are used for the HL normalization calculation. Your results report will show your HL score for each of the three cancer biomarkers and whether each score is above (Elevated) or below (Normal) the 1.5× HL threshold.
