What the test measures
Three cancer-associated microRNAs, each validated across more than 700 published studies and 70,000 patient samples — plus one internal control.
Published: ijms26083822 (2025)
miR-21-5p
36/37 · 700+ validation studies
One of the most studied oncogenic miRNAs globally. Overexpressed in virtually all cancer types, including prostate, breast, colorectal, pancreatic, lung, and ovarian.
Published studymiR-375-3p
Validation cohort · 700+ validation studies
Validated cancer-associated miRNA linked to prostate, esophageal, gastric, and pancreatic cancer. Functions as both oncogene and tumor suppressor depending on tissue context.
Published studymiR-141-3p
Top accuracy · 700+ validation studies
Highest per-marker accuracy in the Yenos panel. Strongly associated with prostate cancer and colorectal cancer progression. Member of the miR-200 family.
Published studymiR-15b-5p
Not a cancer marker — validates test integrity
Used exclusively as an internal control to verify the test ran correctly. miR-15b-5p levels should NOT change between healthy and cancer samples — confirming test validity.
Zero overlap between cancer and healthy populations
Cancer samples express these miRNAs at 1.83× the Healthy Level (HL). Healthy samples express at 1.04× HL. The 1.5× HL threshold sits clearly between both groups — with zero data overlap between populations (p=1.6×10⁻²²). No other MCED test has published zero data overlap.
