How much urine is needed for the test?
The OncuraKit collection cup is designed to collect a standard 10 mL urine sample — approximately two teaspoons. This volume is sufficient for the Yenos laboratory to perform RNA extraction, nanopore analysis of all four miRNA targets, internal control verification, and a confirmatory second run if any marker is elevated. Submitting more than 10 mL does not improve accuracy and is not necessary. If you accidentally collect less than 5 mL, or if the sample is compromised during collection, contact OncuraKit customer support — we will assess whether the sample is suitable for analysis or if a repeat collection kit should be sent.
