How do I collect my urine sample?

Follow these steps carefully: (1) Wash your hands thoroughly with soap and water. (2) Open the sterile collection cup — do not touch the inside of the cup. (3) Urinate a small amount into the toilet first (mid-stream technique — discard the first few mL). (4) Position the cup and collect approximately 10 mL of urine (about 2 teaspoons — the cup has fill lines marked). (5) Do not overfill the cup. (6) Replace the screw-top lid securely. (7) Add the preservation media vial contents to the specimen cup as described on the instruction sheet. (8) Mix gently by inverting the sealed cup 3–5 times. (9) Place the cup in the absorbent pad, then seal both into the bio-safe specimen pouch. (10) Apply tamper-evident seals as directed. (11) Complete the chain-of-custody form with your name, OncuraKit specimen ID (on the label), and date and time of collection. (12) Place the sealed pouch and chain-of-custody form into the pre-addressed return mailer. (13) Seal the mailer and drop it at any USPS or FedEx location that day.
