Can miRNA levels predict cancer prognosis or severity?

However, OncuraKit is currently designed as a binary screening tool (elevated or normal) rather than a prognostic profiler. The test identifies whether cancer-associated miRNAs are overexpressed above the threshold — it does not quantify the degree of overexpression for prognostic interpretation, nor does it identify the specific cancer type or tissue of origin. If your result is elevated, your physician will order appropriate follow-up imaging and diagnostic testing to determine the nature and extent of any malignancy.
