How often is the MinION equipment calibrated and maintained?

The MinION nanopore devices at Yenos Analytical are maintained according to Oxford Nanopore Technologies (ONT) recommendations and Yenos's internal maintenance protocols. Key maintenance activities include: regular inspection of electrical connections and hardware, monthly performance verification using control materials, flow cell lot validation (new lots are tested before clinical use), and software updates from ONT as released. Each flow cell is tested for baseline current stability (180 pA per pore) before a patient sample is loaded. The bracketing protocol provides real-time quality assurance within each analytical run, detecting any performance degradation during the run itself. Maintenance records are kept as required by CLIA regulations.
