What happens to my specimen after analysis?
After laboratory analysis is complete and results are finalized, the processed specimen and any remaining urine are disposed of as regulated medical waste in compliance with California Medical Waste Management Act requirements and EPA standards. Yenos Analytical retains the analytical data (the bioinformatics output, HL scores, QC records) as part of the laboratory's CLIA-required record retention obligations, but the physical specimen is disposed of. If you requested a confirmatory second analysis, that second run is performed on the same collected sample before disposal. No portion of your specimen is retained for research purposes without your explicit written consent.
