How long does a single nanopore analysis run take?

A standard Yenos miRNA quantification run on the MinION requires several hours of data collection to accumulate a statistically robust number of molecular translocation events. The exact run time depends on the miRNA concentration in the sample (lower concentration requires longer runs to accumulate sufficient events), the number of active pore channels, and the bracketing calibration schedule. The total laboratory processing time from sample receipt to result reporting — including RNA extraction, osmium tagging, nanopore run, data analysis, QC review, and confirmatory testing if needed — is 5–7 days. This is consistent with the turnaround times published in the Yenos studies and communicated to OncuraKit customers.
