How does the Yenos lab validate a patient's result before reporting it?
Before a patient result is finalized and delivered to their OncuraKit dashboard, the Yenos laboratory performs a multi-step validation: (1) Internal control miR-15b-5p is within the expected range, confirming sample and assay integrity; (2) Calibration brackets confirm accurate quantification of all three cancer biomarkers in that run; (3) Total RNA content meets minimum threshold for meaningful HL normalization; (4) If any marker is above 1.5× HL, a confirmatory second analysis is automatically performed on the same sample (this is the basis for the >99.9% specificity when two tests are used); (5) A CLIA-licensed laboratory scientist reviews the raw data and approves the final report. Results are not released until all these checks pass.
