Can I take OncuraKit if I am on blood thinners (anticoagulants)?

Yes — anticoagulant medications (warfarin, apixaban, rivaroxaban, dabigatran, clopidogrel) are not contraindications for OncuraKit. Blood thinners affect platelet function and coagulation but are not expected to significantly alter the miRNA content of urine. OncuraKit does not require a blood draw, so bleeding risk from anticoagulation is not relevant to the test. If you are on anticoagulants and notice blood in your urine (hematuria), do not collect your sample until you have had the hematuria evaluated by your physician — hematuria itself may require clinical investigation and can potentially affect the specimen quality.
