Can I collect my sample while traveling?
Yes, but plan carefully for shipping. The key constraint when traveling is that you must be able to mail the specimen at a USPS or FedEx location the same day you collect it, using the pre-paid overnight return label. If you are traveling domestically, you can collect at your destination and drop the mailer at a USPS post office or FedEx location near your hotel. If you are traveling internationally, you cannot use the pre-paid US domestic return label from abroad — international specimen shipping requires different procedures. Wait until you return to the US before collecting and mailing your specimen. Also note the Friday/holiday shipping restriction — avoid collecting on days that would result in the specimen sitting in transit over a weekend.
