Can I collect my sample in a public restroom?

Yes — you can collect your OncuraKit sample in any clean restroom, including a public restroom, as long as you can follow the mid-stream collection technique properly. Ensure the collection cup does not come into contact with the toilet rim or seat. Use the cup provided (do not use a different container). If a private stall is available, it makes the mid-stream technique easier. After collection and sealing, store the specimen safely (in the bio-safe pouch) until you can add the preservation media (which can be done at home or in a private area after returning from the public restroom). Do not attempt to add preservation media in a public restroom if conditions are not clean.
