Are there any special collection instructions for men?

Men should follow the same general mid-stream urine collection technique as everyone else — urinate a small amount, then position the cup and collect approximately 10 mL. For men with benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) or difficulty urinating, take your time and collect as directed; even if the flow is slow or interrupted, the mid-stream portion of the flow is still appropriate. Men with indwelling urinary catheters should contact us before ordering — catheter-collected urine may require different handling instructions. There are no other gender-specific collection differences for the OncuraKit test.
