Does using a bidet before collection affect results?

Using a bidet to clean the genital area before urine collection is acceptable and does not affect OncuraKit results. In fact, cleaning the periurethral area before a mid-stream collection is good practice — it helps remove surface bacteria and contamination that could affect a urinalysis (though this matters less for miRNA testing than for bacterial culture). Simply dry the area gently before beginning collection so that water from the bidet does not dilute the first portion of the urine stream.
