What can't OncuraKit tell me?

OncuraKit cannot: (1) Diagnose cancer — it is a screening tool that identifies elevated cancer-associated miRNA, not a definitive diagnosis; (2) Identify which specific organ the cancer is in — it cannot provide tissue-of-origin information; (3) Determine the stage or size of a cancer — only imaging and pathology can do that; (4) Detect all cancers — it may miss some cancers (particularly if miRNA overexpression is below the detection threshold at the time of testing); (5) Detect precancerous lesions — it measures miRNA overexpression from cancer cells, not from benign precancerous lesions like colon polyps; (6) Distinguish between cancer types — a positive result for miR-21 does not tell you whether it's prostate or lung cancer; (7) Replace follow-up clinical evaluation — a positive screen always requires physician-guided follow-up imaging and/or biopsy.
