The six cancer types screened include cancers that affect men (prostate), women (ovarian, breast), and both sexes (colorectal, pancreatic, lung). The Yenos finding that HL normalization eliminates sex-based variation in miRNA baseline means that a single HL threshold applies to both sexes without sex-specific reference ranges. Men cannot develop ovarian or breast cancer, but the test will still screen for the remaining four cancer types for male patients.
